Yoga Wellness

Bio: Amy has been a student of yoga since she lived in India as a student of comparative religion in 2004. She has studied several yoga traditions since then, including Anusara, Ashtanga, Atma Vikasa, and Sivananda. In March 2008 she completed a 200-hour teacher training at Kaya Yoga. Her exploration of yoga has been complimented by her former career as a massage therapist, and the numerous opportunities she has had to study Ayurveda, somatics, spirituality, and healing more in depth. Currently, she is working on an MA in Holistic Health Education with a focus on nutrition therapy at John F. Kennedy University.

In her classes she compassionately aims to bring the benefits of yoga to her students by presenting the opportunity to become acutely aware of the breath and body in order to maintain a relaxed focus regardless of what challenges may be present on or off the mat.

Amy feels immense gratitude daily for all the teachers who have come into her life and guided her to where she is now.
